F150 4x4 is no slouch out of the gate.

 

Agreed, the roll race made it somewhat close, from a dead stop the 4x4 is gonna whip that vette bad! A guy could have some fun on the streets with that truck!

 

poor guy in the vette has to get the edge buy staying half a car in front and flooring it on two AND counting fast. Prettt impressive on the truck. There is one just like that around here that is nasty

Both are running automatics. That pause between 2-3 (Corvette) is by design in order to protect the transmission. My Hellcat does the same thing, just not as pronounced. Notice that the 3-4 shift is instantaneous and if it were a 7 speed manual, the Ford would have jumped forward a couple of feet at every shift. It doesn't.

That's either a sick Z06 or the F150 has a lot more than just a supercharger bolt-on. Not taking anything away from it; it looks pretty quick. Just saying. And roll racing may seem gay but who's going to stop in the middle of a busy interstate, take up 2 lanes, line their cars up and then have someone honk or flashlight them off? That's what you do out on a dark, isolated road. In the middle of traffic, if you're gonna race, you roll race.

 

Something is off, but that track is pretty bad ass, the vette seems like it has issues. Could be driver, could be tire, could be.....

 

It seemed like it lost by more each run, must be that heat soak shit all those “one lap only” cars suffer from??

There is likely a lot less weight difference between these vehicles than most would believe. Probably in the neighborhood of only 500-800lbs with the curb weights and who knows how fat the passengers are.
It never ceases to amaze me how fat some of these drivers/passengers are out at the Dallas Thurs/Fri/Sat rolls. Guys will bring out their 500rwhp Coyotes and LS3/LT1s and they can't figure out why my little 420rwhp '84 Corvette goes zipping past them. When we get to the rendezvous point after some runs, two 350lb fuckers will hop out claiming I have nitrous or something. No, I am at 3250lbs w/ driver and you guys are driving a 3800-4100 lb car with an extra 500-700lbs of passengers.

Coyotes just eat up the boost and that truck probably doesn't need to make all that much more power at the tire to get around a bolt on Z06 with two passengers.

 

Oh shit, not again!!!! Man it looks as if it's not turning out to be a too good of a week for the GM diehards!!! It's so bad the MoPop diehards are even tearing up!!!
