So what does it run and how much power does it make? I'm almost done with mine and I just want to get an idea of what it should run. Thanks

Paul,

When you going to come back out and race your car. It would be nice to see some of the cars back out that dont race anymore.

Pills???? My best pass @ 2450#s is a 4.75, adding that much weight to the car with the lil 505 I'd have to take the jets out of the foggers..

The rules are pretty simple and there are cars being built because it is an affordable no nonsense place where a nitrous guy can play Dr. Frankenstien with as much juice as he cares or dares to try .
And the best part is you dont need a two year old featherweight Pro Stock chassis . Start making light cars legal and see how much it really costs .
You seem like a nice young man from the little bit we talked . The best bit of advice I can give you is to look into upgrading your equipment for next year if you want to be a player in this class , which appears to be going nowhere but "up" in popularity with the promoters , racers and most importantly , the fans .

Tubie ....

I agree with this 100%. Only two words need to be said to keep the "old pro-stock stuff" from trying to over take the class; conventional heads. - I may have been the only guy there racing who was "politicing" for a weight break, but I have not been the only person on here(YB) that has, and I have been far from the only person to ask the promoters/supporters of this class. I am not a nitrous guy. I happened to have the plate kit, so I put the car together with it because I like the "grassroots" idea behind this class. If the rules are going to stay so that the only combination that can be competitive in this class is a 630+ci big chief headed motor with 3+ stages, I'll put my 1471/buzzard back on and go waste my money in 10.5.

Although 17 cars was a great turn-out, there were more cars like me there who were a few tenths off the pace than there were guys running "the number". Do you think those guys will continue to spend $150 entry fee plus all their other expenses just to donate money to a guy who is already spending more than they are to win? I love racing, so I'm doing what I can to help the cause and have no qualms spending money to enjoy myself racing, but I won't just continually throw away money on a pipe dream.

You want good car counts at every race and good competitive racing, level the rules out and let some other combinations play. Unless you start pushing for bigger pay-outs, whose going to risk throwing away a $25k motor just to win $1-2k and a little bit of fame?- You want to see the class rise up some only to die, keep one combination being the only thing competitive. - My $.02

How long before people get sick of the same cars at the end.?
Gotta open it up with a broader weight break than there is.
Sorry didn't mean to screw up your thread...I"m done.
^^^^Again, I may have been the only guy there racing that was "politicing" for a weight break, but I'm far from the only car out there who would be there if they were allowed us something to be competitive with what we already have.

^ The class is called outlaw 632, the rules wer put up some adjustments have been made.

To be a player in the class one would think you would need a 572 - 632 and a few kits?

Some guys need to step up a little in there programs.

If your doing this for the $$$$ your in the wrong sport

No doubt. My dad said for years, "the only way to make a small fortune drag racing is to start with a big fortune". You have to do it because you enjoy it.

I may be wrong(I think I might have been a time or two), I just don't see the class surviving if only one combination is competitive and the pay outs remain relatively "small". If the pay outs go up so that more people can justify "stepping up their programs", then you'll also have more guys running their stuff harder to go even faster yet. Then you start breaking shit more often, and the costs get higher......yadayadayada, the car counts start to suffer.

Maybe I was wrong with the idea of this class being centered around being more "grassroots" and a little more budget friendly. If everyone seems to think the little guy like me needs to "step up his program", then maybe those at the top should "step up their program" and get back in 10.5?

Sounds like a great class and we intend to try to make a few Outlaw 632 races. Has there been any considerations for a small weight break for a conventional style head? We'd have to lean on our stuff pretty hard if we added weight increasing the chance of unaffordable breakage.

They have a class for them it's called OUTLAW 632.

It's still is an affordable class, but it is a heads up class.

If you want to run up front it takes $$$$ and some smarts

Here's Rick Grove's 69 Camaro when it was equipped with a N/A 648. I know it's 16 cid larger than the subjects in this thread but it runs incredible.
